The message wishes you a meaningful Easter.
Easter’s a strange mix of things.
We hope yours includes a good dose of happiness, joy, and appropriate amounts of chocolate for those who like.
We also hope the holiday also allows time for reflection and is filled with a real sense of hope.

1. Steve Dailly - March 22, 2008

Carpenter

In his brown apron
the carpenter is at work.
He is not afraid,

malicious or mad;
his eyes are not black pits
of hate. They are intent,

meaning no offence.
Taking careful aim, he
holds his hammer high.

Jesus looks at him
as the hammer strikes a nail:
flesh tears, bones wedge open.

His fist clenches in
voluntarily, as if
to capture the heart

of this journeyman
from its ordinary
oblivion.
